NPPL Chicago Open Wrap Up!

Huntington Beach, California - May 26, 2011 - The NPPL promoted the second event in their series of professional seven-man paintball tournaments May 20-22, 2011 in Joliet, Illinois. The 2011 Chicago Open, graciously hosted by the amazing CPX Sports facility, attracted over seventy 7-man paintball teams from across the United States and Canada spread across pump, divisional and professional classifications. Great weather, intense play, an outstanding vendor and sponsor presence and an outstanding field helped make the 2011 NPPL Chicago Open an outstanding follow-up to the incredible 2011 NPPL Surf City Open in Huntington Beach, California!

Vendors and sponsors attending the 2011 NPPL Chicago Open at CPX Sports included Planet Eclipse, Empire, Ninja Paintball, Valken, CP, Virtue, GI Sportz, RP, GI Sportz, DXS, Khrome, Understood, Dye, GOG Paintball, Tippmann and Stiffi Barrels. Vendors offered everything from outstanding paintballs for the competitors to clothing, the hottest new markers, barrels, compressed air bottles, parts, electronics and tech support!

On the other side of the lavish CPX Sports complex, Viper Paintball produced the Living Legends IV scenario paintball event, drawing a thousand players and numerous paintball industry legends! Longtime players and industry-members in attendance included Jim Lively, Dan Colby, Bambi Bullard, Sal Briguglio, Blue and many more! Players enjoyed the vendors, the remarkable CPX Sports playing fields and events like the Escape from New York scenario and Friday night pump games!

After three days of top-tier paintball competition, it was Dynasty who came out on top, winning their second NPPL professional title in a row over St. Louis Avalanche in back-to-back games. Portland Uprising fought to an impressive third place finish over the always-strong Edmonton Impact. Other event standings included:
