Calgary Toxic Plays to find the Cure for Cancer

Calgary Toxic is an NPPL D4-5 man team established in 2006 by group of guys just looking to have some fun. Soon this group of players realized they all had something in common, each member of the team has been affected by cancer in some way.
In 2010 Calgary Toxic made a decision to support Cancer research that focuses on finding a cure for this terrible disease. At the 2010 CPPL Bragg Creek Open, Toxic raised over $8,000 towards “Toxic Shoots for the Cure” fundraiser. Another way the team helped raise money was the charity program “Shave Team Toxic for Cancer,” where you donate money and select a player of the team to shave their head. Toxic’s hope is to reach their goal of raising $10,000.00 in 2011.
Calgary Toxic entered their first National Paintball Tournament Event at the 2010 NPPL Las Vegas World Paintball Championships. After their first taste of the big leagues, they were hooked and made the decision to compete in the 2011 NPPL season. After tough competition and placing 5th place in the Huntington Beach Surf City USA Open, Toxic came back strong in Chicago taking third place. Toxic made the promise that all prize money would be donated directly back to Cancer Research to find the cure. With the NPPL DC Challenge around the corner they hope to take the top prize for D4-5 Man. They want to raise more for the charity and beat out their toughest competition and great friends Centermass Hawaii, who is currently ranked 1st in the D4-5 man division.
Toxics home fields are Bragg Creek Paintball (outdoor) and Rampage City Indoor. The team sponsors are MR Paintball Calgary, The CPPL, The BCPPL, Bio Maxx and Empire. Toxic is also a part of “The Axe Men” from Empire.
Team members are: Raymond Emsley, Dan Skidmore, Bernie Jesenovec, Nick White, Adrian Bader, and Nick McGhie.
The NPPL is excited to have Calgary Toxic as part of the league and supports their cause to find a cure.
