D3 7 Man Blackout Fighting for First Place in the NPPL Series Championship!

Blackout is 11 points behind team Chicagoland Paintball in the race for the NPPL D3 7 Man World Series Championship. Starting off the 2011 season a little rocky, Blackout has turned things around for the better.

Blackout began in 2009 when Cody Mogus, Mike Lowery, and Cody Lowery decided to build a competitive team based out of Orlando, Florida. They started the team out by competing in the SPCS and CFPS local D4 Novice Series.  Finishing 2nd in the CFPS and 2009 Series Champions in the SPCS.

The 2010 season started with star player Jason Ruedlinger joining the team. Jason convinced Blackout to participate in the 2010 NPPL Huntington Beach event D4 5 man division. Blackout took first place in HB and decided with hard work and dedication they could win the NPPL Series. The team went on to do well in Chicago, DC, and the Las Vegas World Paintball Championships. Blackout through hard work and determination won the NPPL 2010 D4 5 Man Series taking the trophy home to their local fields Paintball World Sports Complex (Orlando) and Blitzkrieg Paintball in (Tampa) Florida.

Blackout is climbing the ladder in 2011 by stepping up to D3 - 7 man. HB proved to be a test as they had a tough time adjusting to the format and finished near last place. This meant more time study as Blackout began mandatory practice twice a month. The result was a 2nd place finish at NPPL Chicago. Having figured out the 7 man format Blackout took First place in DC securing a second place spot in the overall race for the NPPL D3 - 7 man World Series.

Blackout is determined to take home the NPPL D3 7 man Series Championship Trophy. They play for the love of the sport and represent their local fields Paintball World Sports Complex in Orlando and Blitzkrieg Paintball in Tampa. Blackout could not do this if not for their paintball sponsor GI Sports.

Blackout’s Las Vegas roster is: Cody Mogus, Cody Lowery, Mike Lowery, Jason Ruedlinger, Craig Dodge, Juan Cardona, Brandon Arnold, Elias Rodriguez, and Robert Perry.

The NPPL is looking forward to seeing Blackout play and wishes them luck in their goal of becoming in the 2011 D3 – 7man NPPL World Series Paintball Champions.
