NPPL 2011 Las Vegas Paintball Championship

Player event information & code of conduct.



In order to have a smooth event this weekend, we have compiled some basic information to help you and your team. If you have a question that you don't see answered here please email us at info@nppl.com.

The Las Vegas Police Dept has requested that no markers be publicly exposed other than on the field, staging area, or chrono range.
 
Display markers in the trade show vendors area by the vendors is acceptable. In short this means your guns must be stored out of sight unless you are in authorized "private player paddocks" areas. Your markers must be stored out of sight at all other times. If you need repairs from a vendor, you must put it in a bag and transport. Do not have your markers out in public areas, hotels or in your cars.
 
Markers displayed or exposed in any other way could result in an immediate ejection from the event or a 3 game suspension

This rule applies to............ players, vendors, staff, judges, visitors, and anyone else at the event.

This includes the parking lot, hotels etc..

Please be paintball responsible!

Friday, 7:00 am  to 6:00 pm
Saturday, 7:00 am  to 6:00 pm
Sunday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm

Parking
 
If staying at the Riviera Hotel & Casino; you may park in the designated parking structure for your entire stay. For those who will be commuting to the event may park in the Las Vegas Convention Center Gold Lot. Please note, when you park here it may not be free.

Paint sales and payment

Paintballs must be purchased directly from authorized paint vendors located in the KEE, DXS, and GI Sportz  sales trucks. Any paintballs used in the tournament that were not purchased from NPPL authorized sponsors will result in severe penalties for the player in question or the offending team. When leaving the event area after your games all paint must be in a secure carrying apparatus or concealed with zero chance of spillage on non event property. Including event parking lot! 

Captains Meeting
 
All teams must send a representative to the captains meeting!

The Captains meeting will be Thursday November 10th at 5pm in the Riviera Ballroom.

Some important things you must know and communicate to your team...These will be discussed at the Captains meeting...

Swearing- No warnings will be given. Zero tolerance for malicious swearing at another player, Referee, staff member, or any other person, Depending on the circumstances, we may eject any aggressive or profane act with no warning of any kind to any player at any time. A referee may at his/her discretion give player's warnings for non-aggressive profanity.

Speaking or arguing with a Judge after you are eliminated, Zero tolerance for any player speaking after being eliminated. Penalties will be assessed immediately and without warning at ref's discretion.

Penalties will be swift and many at the start of each divisional round... unless of course everybody decides to play honourably.

Registration

All teams need to check in at the registration booth prior to play. The Registration booth will be open on-site Thursday at 10 am.

Registration is simple.

Step 1: Team captain picks up player package fills out waivers, roster forms, and applicable documents.

Step 2: Make sure entire roster has their 2011 NPPL card.

Step 3: If you registered for your ID card online, and followed the instructions, your card will be available for pick up in the Express ID line. If you paid for your ID online, please bring your PayPal receipt to avoid any confusion. If you did not pay online, but registered, please bring $40.00 cash (No checks, Debit or Credit Cards accepted) and your government issued ID with your full name, date of birth and picture.

Step 4: If you did not register online, or your online ID application was not filled out correctly (including not submitting a photo), proceed to the regular ID booth (beside registration booth), fill out your 2010 NPPL ID application form, return to booth pay $60.00 cash (No checks, Debit or Credit Cards accepted), have your picture taken, show your government issued ID with your full name, date of birth and picture, and receive your ID card or temporary ID card.

Step 5: Team hands back player package, shows ID's for every rostered player and receives wristbands for athletes and pit staff. Any players added to the roster after the roster freeze deadline will be subject to a $20.00 per player fee. Team captains are solely responsible for illegal roster additions. Severe penalties and forfeitures may be given before, during and after the tournament.

Thursday, November 10th 10:00am (In the Riviera Convention area)
Friday, November 11th 6:00am (on-site)
Saturday, November 12th, 7:00am (on-site)

Saturday, November 13th, 6:00am (on-site)

Secured areas

Any player caught on the field without a NPPL issued wristband will be heavily penalized, and probably suspended for the remainder of the tournament. Players caught with no signed waiver WILL suffer the consequences.

Access to the staging area will be through one secured entrance. Anyone caught breaching/opening sealed fencing, will be heavily penalized, and or ejected from the tournament.

ID Cards

All players who are on the roster of a team playing in the event must have a 2011 NPPL ID card. Cost for an ID card at the event is $60.00 Cash only (No checks, Debit or Credit Cards accepted).

The penalty for not playing with a card, suspension from event, loss of points and a minimum $500.00 fine, due immediately from the offender or team captain.

Please do not complain to ID staff when you have to pay your $20.00 extra for not registering online ....And don't tell them that you did register when you know you did not.

If you had a problem uploading your ID photo, it was because it was over the size limit as stated on the online application form, or you had a incompatible  


Please note some of the rules concerning your roster and ID Cards also...

Please make sure your information is accurate, or you and your team could be subject to prize forfeiture, penalties, civil legal action and/or suspensions.

You will be required to show Government issued ID with your full name, birth date, and picture before you will be issued your ID card

Your respect will be appreciated

Pit Crew

A team may have up to 4 pit crew members on their roster. The cost for each pit crew members pass is $10.00

Those pit crew members have access to the player paddocks, during the team's division games time only.

Pit Crew must have a wristband to be in paddocks, or will be ejected from tournament grounds for the weekend.

Any person we deem to be a problem at the event, will be asked to leave. Police will be called if necessary for any issue.

Drug and Alcohol use

There will be zero tolerance for the use of any drugs on tournament property OR the surrounding area. Anyone caught using or under the influence of drugs will be evicted from the tournament premises immediately, for the duration of the event by NPPL security.

Alcohol may be consumed in the licensed VIP facility only. Any athlete playing under the influence of alcohol will be suspended from the event for the weekend.   

Code of Conduct
 
Paying your entry fee to play in any paintball tournament gives you the right to be included in the schedule of games, and to play paintball. It also gives you and every other team a fair chance to win the tournament.

It does not give you the right to be rude, irritating, demeaning or aggressive to any other person at the event. This especially applies to Judges and any NPPL staff members.

Failure to comply will result in immediate ejection from the tournament at our discretion.
 
Paintball Trade show and Exposition
 
The NPPL will once again be hosting a huge trade show on the Beach. The hours of operation will be...

- Thursday 1:00 pm- 7:00 pm
- Friday 9:00am- 5:00 pm
- Saturday 9:00am- 5:00pm
- Sunday 9:00am- 5:00pm
- The VIP booth is open 11:00 am- 5:00 pm daily.

Even if you are not playing in the tournament, make sure you come and check out the special event only deals from the world’s biggest paintball companies!

Spectators and Trade show Guests
 
There is a $10.00 admission per day fee for spectators to watch center court Friday and Saturday from the Grandstands. Sunday tickets are $20.00. Tickets will be available at the Grandstand ticket kiosk or you may purchase online
HERE to guarantee your seat.


Very limited amounts of VIP tickets may be available at the Grandstand kiosk all three days. Prices are $40.00 per day, or $100.00 for the weekend.
