Top Gun Evolution Rising to the Top
Top Gun Evolution a team that proves hard work and dedication is the key to success. With their recent 2011 NPPL Series Championship win under their belt, Top Gun Evolution not only wants to grow as a Team, but wants to be a contributing factor in the growth of paintball as a mainstream sport.
Top Gun Evolution began as a five man Xball team called Wired, in 2009. When the players were suppose to play Xball for the D3 squad, the team was cut and moved on to play division 2 - 7 man instead. Wired gave NPPL 7 man a shot and came home with the first place trophy at the 2009 NPPL DC Challenge.
In 2010 a new field opened up in Long Island, NY called Obnoxious Paintball and was looking for a team to support. Owner of Wired, Russell Bransfield wanted to see his team grow and saw this as a perfect opportunity. Wired became Obnoxious and started to shape themselves into a competitive Division 2 - 7 man team. Obnoxious went on to play in the 2010 NPPL Huntington Beach Open. After tough competition Obnoxious took the 7th place out of 26 teams and decided go to the NPPL Chicago Open. Obnoxious practice weekly and proved that hard work paid off as they took home the first place cup at the NPPL Chicago Open. During the NPPL DC Challenge Obnoxious wanted to defend their 2009 win. Unfortunately they fell a few points short behind Marine Team One, taking home a 2nd place trophy. The NPPL Las Vegas World Paintball Championship was the final leg of the Series and Obnoxious wanted win the Series Championship. Fighting hard they took 2nd place in the 2010 NPPL Super 7 World Series Championship.
The beginning of the 2011 season proved to be tough for Obnoxious. After taking 6th in the NPPL Huntington Beach Surf City USA Open, Obnoxious went through a transition with their home field and wanted to start fresh with a new field and a new team name. Obnoxious became Top Gun Evolution and soon claimed their home field as Top Gun Paintball in Jackson, NJ. Top Gun Evolution fought their way up the rankings taking 4th place at the NPPL Chicago Open in D2 7 man. They stayed on the rise and took 3rd at the NPPL DC Challenge and alas claimed the first place trophy during the NPPL Las Vegas World Paintball Championships. With only 6 points ahead of their top competition Marine Team One, Top Gun Evolution came home with the first place 2011 NPPL Series Championship!
Top Gun Evolution plans to keep working hard as their goal is to move up to Division 1 in 2012 and be as successful as they have in the past. They believe much of their success is contributed to the help of their sponsors like Big Jim at Top Gun Paintball and their friends at their practice field in Hatfield, PA LVP, Mike and Erica.
Top Gun Evolution is also sponsored by; Kee Action Sports, Lobax Clothing, Brandon Associates, Fat Kid Sauces, Metropolitan T & B, and Big Als Landscaping.
Top Gun Evolution roster consists of Captain Dan Delsignore, Dakota Bransfield, Chris Shea, Justin Stopford, Steve Bart, Chris Fermoselle, Jesse Vandeboe, Connor Gallagher, and Zach Bartlestone
The NPPL would like to congratulate Top Gun Evolution on their recent Series Championship win and we look forward to watching them grow and wish them much luck with their future goals.
