NPPL DC Challenge Registration is Open!!
The NPPL is excited to announce that registration for the DC Challenge is open! The DC Challenge takes place on August 6th - 8th at the outstanding Pev's Paintball Park in Aldie, VA. Last year's event was considered by many to be one of the top paintball tournaments in history and the NPPL is fully committed to making this year's DC Challenge even better.
"The 2009 D.C Open presented by the NPPL and Pev's Paintball was by far the best run paintball tournament I have ever attended in my 15 years of playing Professional Paintball," said Frank Connell of Team Avalanche. "The venue was superb and the playing turf was pristine. I was impressed with the support from the county and local companies in Virginia that was given for the event."
On top of the standard regulation professional games and huge vendor village, the DC Challenge will feature a number of great side-events for spectators to enjoy including:
- East vs. West All-Star Game: NPPL players and fans will get the opportunity to vote on which of their favorite players will participate in the yearly NPPL East vs. West All-Star Game. You must be a registered member of the NPPL newsletter to participate.
- NPPL Hall of Fame: During the DC Challenge, the NPPL will unveil the world's first sanctioned paintball Hall of Fame, with the first round of inductees being announced and honored during a special ceremony.
- Pre-Event Player BBQ: All DC Challenge participants will have the opportunity to join the NPPL staff and crew for a fantastic BBQ dinner on Thursday, August 5th. This will be a great opportunity to chat with fellow competitors and meet your favorite pros.

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded by the number of teams in a division. Therefore divisions that are more competitive and have more teams will receive a larger prize package. A lot of thought went in to creating this new prize structure with a goal of rewarding the teams who battle through the larger divisions, while still providing teams an incentive to move up.
The prize amounts listed are an estimate of what to expect based on the same number of teams we had in Huntington Beach last year. Prize amounts this year will vary depending on the number of teams signed up in each division.
